Absolutely great and awful simultaneoulsy...and perhaps I should introduce
myself as I have been sneakily reading the list for a few intersting
months- thank you !
I am a nurse lecturer mainly teaching (now) ethical and professional issues.
After a BD (Heb/OT) in 1993 here at Edinburgh I developed and taught a
module for nurses on Cultural, religous and spiritual aspects of health
care.
I am doing pg work at Edinburgh and wonder if any of you know of any work
done or in progress on the body and spirituality (apart from poverty
research that is!!)
Thanks
Dorothy (now Lovett though previously Grosvenor)

Subject: Important new web resources
Shaftesbury with backing from DETR have just launched
www.faithandcommunity.org.uk
or http://www.xalt.co.uk/webspace/faithandcommunity/ a site which contains
lots of useful information about faith based community development and the
role of religious groups in urban regeneration. It includes information
about good practice materials they have published and the research reports
of the evaluation of the work we carried out last year. The site is not yet
complete and if you would like urgently a copy of the full report (in word
with hyperlinks format) please email me.
Also published this week is a major new study on poverty and social
exclusion in the UK you can find the summary on the JRF web site at
http://www.jrf.org.uk/knowledge/findings/socialpolicy/930.htm
