SOCIO-LEGAL RESEARCH FELLOW IN FAMILY
RESTRUCTURING
DEPARTMENT OF LAW
We are seeking to appoint a post-doctoral research fellow
to work on the second stage of a Nuffield Foundation
research project ‘Family Restructuring, the Common Law
Marriage Myth and the Need for Legal Reform', with Dr Anne
Barlow at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, and
Professor Simon Duncan at the University of Bradford. This
stage of the project will be concerned with in-depth
qualitative analysis of attitudes and behaviour, building on
extensive quantitative data obtained in Stage 1 from the
British Attidudes Survey on cohabitation, marriage and
family
The post is available from 1 January 2001. It will be based
at Aberystwyth, but will require periods of research to be
undertaken in other parts of Britain.
The salary for the post will be on the RA1B Scale: £16,775 - £18,731 per annum.
