I come to the history of childhood/family from two angles of interest. From
my own concerns as a historian, which lie with issues of sexuality and
gender, primarily UK C19th and C20th, and one of my particular current
projects is on sex education for the young since the later C19th. Among my
various activities in this field I am the list-owner of the Histsex
discussion list for historians of sexuality, the homepage of which is at
http://homepages.primex.co.uk/~lesleyah/listinf.htm - this may be of some
interest to other members of this list.
I am also an archivist at the Wellcome Library for the History and
Understanding of Medicine, and draw the attention of the list to the
richness of the Wellcome's resources for a wide range of issues around
children, families, medicine, and health.
