"Essential Economics" by Adrian Lyons pub Hodder & Stoughton is a small book
aimed at giving an understanding of Economics for the non-specialist.
Published in 1996 it needs an update. Some of the material is found in the
more up to date "Governmnet & The Economy" by Adrian Lyons pub. Hodder &
Stoughton 1999.
Both books can be obtained through book shops or follow this link:

"Government and the Economy".

Subject: Reading for interview
I would be interested to receive suggestions for general reading for
a Year 13 pupil who is going to apply for a place to read Economics
at Cambridge but has not done any Economics yet. She is bright.
