Hello Jon,
thank you for that comment . It is treasured, meaningful and fully
appreciated. My clients feel the same way as you - I generally see people
who others have thrown into the "too hard basket" and I just help them to
find the steps to get out - mostly its confidence in taking management of
their disability and turning it around.
A positive outlook transfer just as eagerly as a negative one.
Cheers,
Anna.

May I be so bold to add a comment from a patients viewpoint.
I'm a young (45) Stroke survivor who is now able to walk, drive and live a
life which, although not of the same quality as eighteen months ago, is
really rather good and continually improving.
From an initial assessment of "how are we going to get this guy moving"
your colleagues through their professionalism, skill and dogged
determination have given me my life back. I have seen numerous PTs, young
and of more mature years, practising Carr & Shepard, Bobath and I'm sure a
touch of Voodoo at times, all without exception have contributed to the
quality of my life, all have not only just given me hope but have been so
bold as to delivered the goods.
Your profession does more than any medic I know to give people like me a
quality of life which otherwise would be somewhat lacking, I should know,
I'm married to a Doctor.
the kindest of regards to you and your profession.
Jon West
