Rather a late response, but I've been catching up on emails after a short
holiday. My Shorter Oxford Dictionary (1934 reprint) defines a Portioner as:
Scots Law. The proprietor of a small piece of land forming a portion of an
original forty-merk land.
There is no definition of Sorbitor, I am afraid.
