Three Archaeological Digs in the Historic City of Canterbury, UK
August 25th - 28th. Starts 6pm (GMT).
Channel 4's award-winning archaeology show Time Team will this year be
excavating three separate sites in the historic city of Canterbury.
Presenter Tony Robinson is joined by Liza Tarbuck and Sandi Toksvig.
As well as six live broadcasts from the Canterbury digs, there will be 12
web-masters keeping Time Team's cyber audience up to date with progress.
This year's website will be one of the most interactive on offer from
Channel 4. Across the four days there will be Live Chats with the
presenters, and forums where Time Team fans can post their questions and
opinions as the dig for history progresses.
Regular feeds to cameras will give a 360-degree panoramic view of the sites,
enabling those on-line to zoom in on any items that catch their eye. Also,
for the first time the diggers in the trenches will be giving their unique
views on how the hunt for artefacts is going.
In the 'finds gallery' there'll be a constantly updated list, pictures and
descriptions of discoveries across the weekend. The site will also have also
video and audio interviews with the stars and the heroes and heroines
working behind the scenes making it happen.
Log on 6pm (GMT) Friday August 25th and watch what the digs reveal
live on the Internet.
