List members,
I sent my first e-mail in error a while ago. Where better to start than at
the beginning? I live in Prague the Czech Republic. Am an accountant by
professional with more of an interest in Computer Mathematics. Am I happy to
have come across this forum, whose members are interested in computers! What
an understatement!
I will not waste time but present my first problem to the forum. Can anyone
on the forum help me with this? The problem is as follows: If I use the
function "COMBIN", such as, =COMBIN(6,2), Excel gives 15 as the answer which
is true. This means that 6 numbers (or items) can be combined (or paired in
this case) into 15 different ways. In my example, if the items were
1,2,3,4,5 and 6, the 15 combinations would be 12, 13, 14, 15,16, 23, 24, 25,
26, 34, 35, 36, 45, 46 and 56. I have listed these combinations because they
are only 15. Suppose I am dealing with hundreds of combinations, how could I
make Excel help me list these numbers instead of just calculating the number
of combinations? Does anyone know if Excel can do this?
I thank you in advance.
Paggy
