10th NATIONAL IMMUNISATION CONFERENCE FOR HEALTH CARE WORKERS
The University of Manchester and Stockport Postgraduate Medical Education
Centre invite you to attend the 10th National Immunisation Conference for
Health Care Workers to be held on Friday, 15th December 2000 from 9.00 a.m.
to 5.00 p.m. in the Postgraduate Health Sciences Centre at Manchester Royal
Infirmary
Chairman: Dr David Salisbury, Principal Medical Officer, Department of Health
The Conference is for any health worker involved with immunisation and will
be of interest to Clinical Medical Officers, General Practitioners, Health
Visitors, Practice Nurses, Paediatricians, School Nurses and District
Immunisation Co-ordinators.
The first session of the Conference will address Meningococcal B and C
vaccination, influenza disease and MMR. In the afternoon, parallel
sessions will cover the investigation and management of adverse reactions,
vaccinating children with eczema, experiences with the new hepatitis
vaccine, group protocols, malaria, anaphylaxis, immunising the at risk
traveller, improving vaccine uptake, pneumococcal disease and managing the
splenectomised patient.
PGEA and CME approval have been applied for. The cost of the Conference is
70.00 UKP for medical staff and 45.00 UKP for nursing and other staff.
