I will trya nd dig out the reference but there was a paper I think it was
from the Scottish trauma audit network comparing the outcomes in major
trauma for patients seen by doctors of differing grades. It was on the
usual basis of unexpected deaths and unexpected survivors. There was a
definite gradation between Consultant SR, Reg, SHO with the more senior
doing better. They looked at other factors as well.
I think an abstract was published in the Journal of A&E.
