As Jose says, we in the Harmony project have indeed been thinking of how
to characterize events. At this point our thinking is still scratchy
but you might look at the extended version of our ECDL paper at
http://www.ncstrl.org/Dienst/UI/1.0/Display/ncstrl.cornell/TR2000-1800.
Also, as Jose says, Jane Hunter who is at DSTC in Brisbane might serve
as the best "local" resource on this.
