LEARNING TECHNOLOGY SECTION
WEB DEVELOPER
A web/courseware developer is required to work on the
development of the Edinburgh Electronic Medical Curriculum
(EEMeC) web site. This is a joint project between the Learning
Technology Section and the Medical Teaching Organisation and
provides a wide and increasing range of educational and
administrative support services to undergraduate medical
students, lecturers and support staff in the Faculty of Medicine.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual with
excellent organisational and communication skills who can work
both as part of a team and unsupervised. The successful
applicant will have a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject
and a strong practical knowledge of web authoring and
deployment, particularly of large institutional or equivalent sites.
Knowledge of Macromedia Dreamweaver is important as is
practical experience of Macromedia Flash, Adobe Photoshop
and Adobe Illustrator. Database experience and scripting skills
in Javascript, ASP and Cold Fusion are also desirable.

This post is offered as a fixed term contract for 18 months.
Salary scale: £16,775 - £18,731 p.a.
