Dear Greville gang--don't forget to tell the Kzoo folks not to schedule
you against Spenser and Sidney. What a mess that was! I thought you and
other Greville fanciers might like to know that at the Wellesley Inn (a
tad west of Boston, where I was visiting the women's college, also
Wellesley) there is a panel in the dining room that says it's from Warwick
Castle--a carved panel that looks to my inexpert eye like stained oak.
There's also a reference to a Fulke Greville, Lord Brooke, but the dates
are late 17th c. Could that be true? Or did the panel-writrs just think
that somebody born in the 16th c. must begin with a 16? Anyway, if I'm
ever up there again I'll give your best to the (oak?) panel. Anne
Prescott.
