CASEWise Corporate Modeler is being, and has been, deployed within various
parts of my organisation. Within the division I sit in (business to
business) we are using it as an analysis and communication tool, and
ultimately as a catayst to drive change.
The product is certainly powerful in terms of providing a single-point of
entry/location for managing process knowledge within a mass organisation,
and has the advantage of (I think: wait and see) bridging the gap between
high-level Strategy and Work-instruction (detail/detail). Additionally, as
a case tool it also has an impressive utility enabling process improvement
(simulator), however my experience suggests that the organisation/business
must already pocesses, or plan to, capture detailed information and
understanding about its business processes which are ultimately both
reliable and robust.
One disadvantage of CM is that there is not a User-Forum developed for
exchange of ideas and experience with the product- or is there? (does anyone
know?)
Simon, I hope you my experience, thus far, useful.
My Regards to the Distribution List,
Rob Goh

Hi All,
I work for an Australian company. Over the past few years we have developed
a Process-mapping application. It allows users to work through a series of
tasks linked to specific business process. Each step of the task is linked
to its relevant online resources such as forms or reference materials.
Where appropriate the user can interface directly to a related application,
perform an action and then return to complete the business process. Reports
are automatically generated, giving management tangible measurements when
comparing BPR trials. I am interested in finding other similar
Process-mapping software applications. Do you know of other Knowledge
Management applications that can perform similar functions. Homepage
addresses and contact numbers of vendors would be appreciated. You may
respond directly to my email address and I will send a summary of the
responses to the list
Thank you
Ilana Cohney
