I agree with your views completely Davy.
When dealing with a casualty and considering ATLS et al. protocols there is
no room for such parochial nonsense as political boundaries. The health
service is divided regionally and until recently by separate trusts however
this sort nonsense wouldn't be tolerated. Perhaps if this matter could be
brought into the public eye we would see a move towards a geographically
driven response. I certainly know which mountain rescue team I would like to
be coming for me lying in the Argyll snow [again ;-)]. It wouldn't be
Doctors and policemen in Glasgow for sure!
Maybe you shouldn't draw too much flack onto your own head from
Strathclyde's finest by raising this issue? Just a thought
