Digital cameras are definitely the future. I'm
experimenting at work by including a picture of wounds
in a patients computerised admission assessment and I
have to say that Word opens jpegs from Digital Cameras
fine.
Is it possible to insert a picture of an injury into a
patients record on Gpass ?
Following on from this would it not be possible to do
the same thing on the computerised systems in A/E ?
In forensics I intend to use my laptop to insert wound
photo's etc into a "word" generated document. I
understand though that there may be some legal
difficulty if computer generated photos are used in
evidence. While this doesn't take away from the impact
of a scene photo to staff treating an accident victim,
it certainly makes you think how the image could be
used if criminal proceedings ensue.
I think we should all have digital cameras !
