Sanders (1970) made some distinctions within the "functional visual field":
the stationary field is the area that can be covered without eye movements,
the eye field is the area that is covered with the help of eye movements and
finally the head field is the area that can be covered with additional head
movements. I don't have the article here so I can't quote any numbers but I
think, Sanders did give some.
