Msg to the list from SportEX - please respond to Tor Davies, and not to
me.
Ta!
Heather Upfield
To coincide with the publication of issue 5 of SportEX Medicine we have
launched 2 x 2-week discussion forums on the subject of The Sportsman's
Groin (to accompany we were hoping England into the finals of Euro 2000
but as it happens now just the 15 page article just published in issue 5
which includes a practitioner rehab prompt and a patient rehabilitation
programme!). The second forum covers Issues relating to cardiac
rehabilitation (which will also be covered in Issue 6). We have
recently appointed a multidisciplinary medical team to supervise these
forums and answer any unanswered questions but we would very much
benefit from wider input from across the world. The team currently
consists of several GPs and physios, an osteopath, podiatrist, and
chiropractor along with backup from SportEX Medicine subscribers. The
discussions are site-based and can be found at
www.sportex-medicine.com We are also now publishing a regular (free)
e-mail newsletter with useful resources (particularly relating to
further education and the internet), news summaries, jobs and anything
else we feel is relevant to those promoting health through exercise in
whatever form.We are also about to include in the newsletter a clinical
tips and techniques section for medical practitioners. Again if you'd
like to subscribe to this newsletter (you don't have to be a current
subscriber to SportEX Medicine the journal) go to
www.sportex-medicine.com and click the button labelled eSportEX. The
site is also currently being 'tarted up' and we can now accept
subscription payments securely via the internet so if you'd been itching
to subscribe but were put off by the need for a sterling cheque - now's
your chance - UK subscription is only £26. Please get involved in the
discussion forums and post or answer any questions you are able to.
We've also updated our links area which is now database driven and much
easier to co-ordinate links through so if you're involved in promoting
education and would like to be involved in a reciprocal link with the
SportEX site please send an e-mail to [log in to unmask] .
Kind regards
