Pulling in the punters: raising the library's profile
Librarians and information specialists are having to fight
harder and harder to ensure that they maintain their
relevance and are not ignored in today's changing
environments. New roles and remits are emerging and
services are being rebranded and refocused. More important
still, though is for librarians and information specialists
to learn to promote their changed and innovative services
effectively.
This conference will consider the ways in which librarians
and information specialists can promote their skills and
their services. The speakers will consider marketing
strategies, promotional techniques and launch
events. Delegates will also get the chance to participate
in workshops.
