We use a Calcomp Drawing Board III, that can take up to A0 maps. You can't
go wrong with something like this, if you can afford it - we bought it when
times were brighter - I seem to remember it was well over £2000 about 5
years ago.
You can probably get away with a tiddly tablet, but you have to do lots more
copying, cutting etc of the maps, and have lots more hassle with identifying
control points, and the results will be less accurate accordingly. Depends
what you want to use it for.
