RESEARCH FELLOW (BEHAVIOURAL SCIENTIST)
£22,579 - £24, 479 per annum
required for the Dugald Baird Centre for Research on Women's Health,
Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology to work on a European Commission
funded study, available for 30 months commencing 1 September 2000. The
project aims to develop strategies to increase skilled attendance at
delivery in developing countries in order to reduce maternal mortality and
serious morbidity. The project will be conducted by an international
collaborative network, facilitated by the Dugald Baird Centre, and with
country partners in Bangladesh, Ghana, Jamaica, Malawi and Yemen. You
should have a PhD or a MSc with 4-6 years experience in social or
behavioural science. Some work experience in a developing country is
essential, as the post holder, although based in Aberdeen, would be required
to carry out fieldwork abroad. In addition some experience in reproductive
health and/or qualitative research methods is required.
