I strongly support non membership and explicit and well formulated
rejection of this proposal, which seems directed at creating work for
various bodies rather than thoughtful and practical discussions of how we
improve teaching. Also, I find the sense of 'insider-dealing' regarding the
use of outside consultancy and development of professional training
programmes for the universities rather upsetting.
