The draft UK National specification for the next generation of EDI
reporting software is now available at :
http://129.11.239.213/techissues/default.asp
This site is the consultation focus for suppliers, users and technical experts
and includes documents spanning the NHS project to connect all labs and GPs
by the end of 2002.
Folow the links to the document register and then to the Document:
Trust Systems Pathology Reports EDI Functional Requirements
It is particularly important that the pathology community reviews the technical
specification which has just been uploaded to ensure that the next generation
of EDI software meets our operational needs. This documentation is in the form
of hypelinked MS Word files and contains explanations of how it should be
used. Comments can be uploaded via the web site, posted to me directly (I will
forwarded them to the technical team) or posted on any of discussion lists.
For members outside the UK we would welcome your views but this is primarily
a UK NHS initiative.
Pleas note also that the time scale for this stage of consultation closes on
30/6/2000.
Best wishes
Rick Jones
