I don't know where you get your figures from! During my tenure, we were
intubating approximately 25% of our patients on scene and attended 1000 in
the year. This equates to 5 per week.
We used Etomidate and Suxamethonium for induction then Propofol boluses and
Pancuronium to maintain. While the doctor was required to be present for
drug administration, approximately half of the intubations were done by the
paramedic.
