We use ReMaSS.
When we looked at contenders 5 years ago, we looked closely at ReMaSS,
MSS and Footman-Walker. One of the things that swung it for us was the
ease of CLINICAL data interrogation on ReMaSS, which was NOT the
cheapest. All A&E systems will give managers loads of throughput and
minimum data set stats, but you try asking some systems how many
fractured arms (colles or humerus) you see in 60-70, 70-80 and over 80
yr olds, broken down by month and time of day.....
The ReMaSS trainers and post-sales support staff are also very human and
good communicators, despite being computer whizz-kids. Other companies
had a lot to offer too, and when we chose ReMaSS, the decision was a
difficult one because of the quality of the other tenders.
Mr Watson (ex- Guy's now at Bath -?) kindly showed us ReMaSS at work
when he worked in London and Mr Cottingham (Eastbourne) is a ReMaSS
enthusiast I think, and both members of this list. I'm sure my boss (Mr
Harborne) would also be happy to speak to you about the system and our
tendering process / business case if you like (hospital tel no: 01444
441 881), but don't tell him I said so!
Please let me know if you want further details of ReMaSS.
