Excuse me? This young man is obviously under 18. Tim
cannot know what background research this young man had
already undertaken. He has contacted this mailing list as
he assumes we are experienced in the field of Sports
Medicine. I am aware that many 'A' level students are
recommended to contact the experts for information. I did
not feel that Iain was asking someone to write his project
for him but if Tim felt that was the case there are ways to
inform students without 'writing their project for them' or
putting them down in such a rude manner. If sports
nutrition instead of sports vision was my field I would be
happy to encourage, by facilitating his research, a
potential future sports scientist. As someone who is
involved in higher education I would never give such a
'put-down' to any students question especially as in my
opinion there have been some 'stupid' questions from Phd
candidates who should have more knowledge than an under 18
year old.
