Dear Social Policy List
Why does it seem that this list is virtually used only for posting meetings
and conference dates? How come there is never any debate? How come members
don't put up questions? Put up references for discussion?
It must be the most boring list to be a member of especially out here in the
colonies of New Zealand. I get more out of being on US lists even the ones
with a US only focus put more up from which I can draw ideas than this list.
Is it something to do with being British stiff upper lip wot?
If something doen't happen soon I resign!
Cheers

Subject: Social Policy Association annual conference
This is a message for the members of the Social Policy Association.
The annual conference in July has sessions devoted to discussion of
issues of common interest between SPA and ESRC, and SPA and the RAE2001
social policy and social work panel. If you have any matters which you
would like to have discussed with either of these bodies, please let me
know beforehand by email so that we can all be well-prepared. This would
be helpful even if you plan to be there and raise the matters yourself.
Many thanks. John Veit Wilson, convenor of SPA executive committee
research and funding group.
