Interesting thought. Personally, I think that change is inevitable and
always with us, so clients may come for therapy when (a) the change is in
the wrong direction/too fast/too slow, (b) they or someone else want to
stand still and believe therapy could help stabilise things, (c) somebody
notices to their surprise that the world has changed and struggles to make
sense of this. Wait long enough, and all things change. This is the problem
and the consolation.
