Dear Terry
Although I can't immediately think of any centres in the SE you seem to be
on the right track with the London Clinic of Psychoanalysis, although they
do tend to have a waiting list. Visit the web site of The British
Psychoanalytical Society, (just type in the name to your search engine to
find it) it is a very interesting site with links. You can also write to
them for further advice on reduced fee therapy. I think a lot will depend
upon whether you want a personal analysis or psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
I would, also, suppose that whichever training organization you join up
with, should have a list of suitable therapists who operate a reduced fee
scheme. Of course the other bugbear to come up in future will be
supervision, while seeing patients during your training period.
If I can think of anywhere in particular for you then I will post back.
Where exactly in the SE do you need a therapist?
Regards
Gerald
