Dear Danniel
I have the following information, which may be useful to you.
1/ I have no direct knowledge of Reach and Steps, although my old contacts
at the Institute of Child Health in London say it does exist. They have
suggested that you telephone 'Contact a Family' tel: 020 7383 3555 who will
probably have the address. I tried the number myself but it was an
ansaphone.
2/ Holt-ORAM SYNDROME SUPPORT GROUP at 21 Forth Road, Redcar, Cleveland.
TS10 1PN is a support and information sharing group, which also has a
booklet called 'Helping those who cope' it includes genetics, cardiac
problems, skeletal defects and details of the group itself. The telephone
and fax number (both the same) is 01642 501283 (usually ansaphone)
I shall not venture into describing the condition as my knowledge of general
medicine and genetics could now be written on the back of a postage stamp.
I hope that this proves to be of some use to you. If you feel that I can be
of any further assistance please do not hesitate to get in touch.
With Kindest Regards
Gerald
