The Data Archive
The Data Archive is seeking to strengthen its core programming team
following the award of new EC funding to develop world leading distributed
statistical information systems. This is an excellent opportunity for
ambitious programmers to join an international team developing intelligent
front ends to find, use and display a wide variety of data. There are
opportunities to work with colleagues from Norway, Denmark, France, Italy
and the Netherlands and applications are encouraged from any European

Candidates should have a good honours degree or equivalent qualifications,
excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team.
Experience of developing distributed systems (especially XML/RDF) and/or
databases (SQL) will be an advantage.
Appointment will be until 31 December 2001 in the first instance with a
salary within the range £16,286 - £24,479 per annum, depending on
qualifications and experience.
