THE ITALIAN NOVELLA
in the Middle Ages/Renaissance
I am soliciting essays for a collection concerning any aspect of the
Italian novella in the medieval/Renaissance period. Papers need not be
confined to Boccaccio's _Decameron_; studies of Giovanni Sercambi, Ser
Giovanni Fiorentino, Franco Sacchetti, Masuccio Salernitano, Matteo
Bandello and other lesser studied authors would be especially welcome.
Approach may be philological, codicological, linguistic, narratological,
comparative, intertextual, interdisciplinary, genre or gender studies, etc.
Send 2-3 pp. abstract with title of paper and one-page c.v. indicating
scholarly work published, presented or in progress. I have a publisher
interested in this volume. Send by 15 June to Prof. Gloria Allaire at the
US mail address below or use email with attachments and send to:
<[log in to unmask]>.
Thank you for your interest in this project.
