SENIOR LECTURER IN HEALTH ECONOMICS

The Institute's Centre for the Economics of Mental Health, part of the
Health Services Research Department, conducts applied economics research
across the full spectrum of mental health problems, in learning
disabilities, in neurology, occasionally in a number of other clinical
areas (most recently stroke, asthma, arthritis) and in social care.
Applications are invited for the post of Senior Lecturer, in which the post
holder will undertake research, financial and staff management, and some
teaching. It is envisaged that a suitably qualified successful applicant
may also be designated Assistant Director of the Centre.
Applicants must have a thorough knowledge of economic evaluation methods,
as well as extensive research experience, preferably in the area of health
or mental health. The proven ability to lead research, to raise research
funding and a good track record of academic publications are also required.
Starting salary in the range £33,697 pa to £37,804 pa (inclusive of London
Allowance), depending on qualifications and experience.
