CISG have a number of Industrial and EPSRC funded PhD studentships available
for projects in the science of medical imaging. We are based at the Guy’s
Hospital Campus but are active at all three Medical School Campuses. We have
a wide ranging, well funded research programme with world class activity in
Computational Imaging Science, MR Imaging, PET imaging and Image Guided
Interventions.
Projects are offered in:
· cardiac MR imaging,
· an MR compatible PET system,
· information fusion and shape modelling
· mathematics underlying brain mapping
· ultrasound imaging for minimally invasive surgery
· mathematical structure of images
Applicants should have a good honours degree in science, engineering,
mathematics, computer science or other numerate subject and an interest in
imaging, vision or medical applications. The Division offers an established
PhD programme with access to excellent state-of-the-art imaging, measurement
and computational equipment.
Studentships will be awarded at up to £14K p.a.
