REALISTIC 3D FACES FOR VIDEO CONFERENCING
EPSRC Ph.D. CASE Studentship - 10.5K/annum + 1K annual increment
A 3yr. CASE studentship is available for research on realistic face
modelling and animation for interactive face-to-face communication in
collaboration with Canon Research. The goal of this project is to
achieve effective communication by using computer vision techniques to
improve the quality of facial communication. The 3D Vision group has
extensive experience and an international reputation for developing
novel approaches to 3D modelling and animation from images. For

Candidates should be UK nationals and have or expect a first or upper
second class degree in a numerate discipline together with relevant
experience in computer vision or graphics and good programming skills in
C/C++/Java.
