Hello all,
Contrary to my initial intention to keep the organisation of this event
simple, it hasn't been!
I now have between 25 and 30 firm bookings (please see my message of 14th
April if you wish to come and haven't yet replied) and expect more bookings
once some colleagues return from their holidays next week.
MANY THANKS to those who offered presentations.
I have compiled the following programme for the day - the presentations
promise to provide a valuable insight into how a range of online learning
systems are being used in HE (perhaps most importantly, as described by the
people who use and administer them). Each presenter(s) will have 30 minutes
to provide a demonstration (please see my e-mail of 29th April re.
facilities or contact me directly) AND to answer questions (incidentally, I
have a reputation for keeping speakers to time!). Lunch and refreshment
breaks will hopefully provide useful time for further discussion.
I am supplying a PC connected to the Internet with a ceiling-mounted SVGA
projector. No audio system or XVGA unless specifically requested. Lunch is
also provided f.o.c. but PLEASE use the aforementioned booking form of 14th
April so that I can accurately predict numbers.
If you intend to distribute handouts then I would suggest you contact me
nearer the day to confirm final numbers.
For travel directions please see
http://www.brad.ac.uk/university/gen/campus1.html and check previous e-mails.
** Do remember to display a car parking permit, available from the Richmond
Building reception if you intend to park on University premises **
Please don't hesitate to contact me if I may be of further assistance,
otherwise I look forward very much to meeting you on the 11th May!
Kind regards,
Brian
