INFORMAZIONI SUL CORSO
The School
The courses will take place at the Universitą di Lecce, Palazzo Casto, Via
Calasso 1/f, 73100 Lecce.
The teaching
Teaching is provided by well-qualified and experienced staff. The University
has advanced audio-visual facilities, including language laboratory,
computer rooms and library with self-access material. These are available
for independent study from 2-6 pm. daily. Progressive teaching methods and
the use of extensive and modern equipment and materials enable the students
to derive the maximum benefit from their learning experience.
The courses
The courses are designed to develop the students' command of Italian, spoken
and written, using a variety of skills and strategies. Classes are held up
to 4 levels according to the students' knowledge. Through techniques such as
role-play, simulations and presentations, students develop their ability to
communicate effectively in the situations of everyday life and professional
activity. Grammar is not neglected and the students are enabled to

9.00 - 10.50 class
10.50 - 11.10 coffee break
11.10 - 13.00 class
Classes are held from Monday to Friday.
Accommodation and food
The Universitą arranges for students to live with host families in Lecce.
University college and hotels are also available. Meals are not provided,
morning coffee can be taken at the Universitą from Monday to Friday.
Dates, fees and enrolments
July 31- august 25, 2000
The fee of ItL. 600.000 includes:
· 20 hours tuition a week
· audio and written self-access study centre
· teaching materials
· end of course certificate
· accommodation
· morning coffee
· welcome and end of course parties
· transportation to and from the Hotel
· transportation to and from the airport of Brindisi
· recreational and cultural activities (see detailed programme)
IMPORTANT This substantially reduced fee is available thanks to the funding
granted to the Universitą di Lecce by the Italian Ministry of the
Universitą/Fondo Sociale Europeo, for this project.
