There's a book called Oggi la lotta: la guerra civile spagnola attraverso le
parole di poeti e narratori (Torino, Paravia, 1982) which is in the National
Library in Florence along with a few other works of history. Sorry I can't
think of anything else just now. Most Italians were happy to read Hemingway
in translation. If you can get hold of Il Politecnico you might find some
stories in there.
