Transition. As you will note in the announcement, I am late in forwarding

The conference will explore the tourism in transition processes focusing
macroeconomic and microeconomic aspect.
Conference Topics:
Macroeconomic
o Globalization on tourist market o
o Sustainable development
o Economic (tourist) policy
o FDI in transition economy (tourism sector)
Microeconomic
o Owner's structure of enterprises
o Organization and management in enterprises
o Human resources
o Marketing
o Directions of action for enterprise efficiency improvement
The subject of the conference is to perceive to what extent tourism can be an
accelerator of the economic development. Croatian experiences, experiences of
other transition economies as well as developed countries will be interesting.
The authors are, therefore, kindly requested to go by topic areas in their
papers.
The Conference will be held in Dubrovnik, Croatia
Reviewing of Abstracts/Papers:
Prospective authors are invited to submit a short abstract (up to 250 words)
in English, including author's name, institution and address by April 15,
2000. The official (working) language of conference is English. All abstract
and papers will be reviewed by an international group of experts in tourism.
Papers (2 hard copies, printed on laser printer or equivalent high-quality
printer, and the file Word for Windows format on diskette) should be received
by July 1, 2000, in order to be reviewed and (if accepted) included in the
conference proceedings. Detailed instruction to authors will be sent with the
notification about abstract acceptance.
Important dates and deadlines:
o abstract submission: May 1, 2000
o notification about acceptance of abstracts: May 15, 2000
o paper submission: July 1, 2000
o notification about paper acceptance and second announcement: August 15, 2000
o final version of the papers: September 15, 2000
