To all
Firstly, thanks to all with suggestions and question to my posting. I would
like to address to points.
A few peole have asked why I want narratives of disability & impairment.
Well I want to look at them because I am looking to build a phenomenological
account of physical disablement - the experience of social and pysical
pressures - of disability and impairment.
Which leads me to an objection from Keith Armstrong about the use of the
term 'inability'. However, to me 'inability' also includes experiences
when one wishes to do something but is prevented to do so by one's own
impairment, a persons facticity of physicality - and theaffects that has on
the psyche. Not just in a social sense but a phenonemological sense.
Thanks
Michael
