Inevitable?
Improve it rather than fight it?
RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!
I've heard these before. I am still hearing them about the new SR/"Junior
Conslutant" trap. I was told a relative decrease in my salary, as the rest
of society catches up, was "inevitable". I was told that I should learn to
live with violence at work and improve my self-defence skills, rather than
try to eliminate it.
I consider giving up a last resort in the case of NHS direct. If "something
similar" happens instead, then I will fight it too. Unless it provides an
efficient benefit to the NHS, its staff and its patients (which will, of
course, make it very DIS-similar).
NHS-direct is a politically correct way of easing statistical numbers and
spreading inefficiency and delays more thinly in order to disguise them
better.
No thanks, my "parade" goes on with an umbrella!
