Can't resist following on from this
We have had a 'business' culture in medicine for some years now
The most valuable resource a health service has is it's doctor's time
Why then have we seen so little done to stop the huge wastage of this
key resource? Junior docs still seem to be run ragged with inefficient
systems
I guess this would be worth pointing out to managers - except that they
are usually budget constrained and cannot escape the focus of absolute
costs rather than getting improved 'bang per buck'
Just a thought
Cheers :)
