What I suggest is that you and Jim join one or two of the
email discussion lists which exist and put your questions
to the list. There is almost certainly someone out there who
knows an answer.
The lists I recommend are:
russian-studies UK not very busy but active
russian-teaching UK quiet
SEELANGS US active and helpful
One of the most interesting lists is R-HIST US active and helpful
which is really a general interest list about current affairs
and Russian culture as well as history.
You can also get a regular "daily newspaper" on Russian current
affairs called Johnson's Russia List.
