APOLOGIES FOR CROSS-POSTING
Dear GeogNet List members,
Dear Critical Geography Forum List members,
The RGS-IBG is re-launching its Research Newsletter in electronic format.
"GeoBytes" will be published bi-monthly and, in addition to the serious
stuffı, will contain an irreverent section in which, within (an almost
boundless) reason, anything goes.
The first edition of "GeoBytes" will be distributed at the beginning of May
just a few days after the publication of the re-drafted Benchmark
statement for geography. This is just too good an opportunity to miss .
Taking a sideswipe at ourselves and our students, weıre looking for the best
suggestion for something that should have been, but wasnıt, included in our
benchmarking statement. Letıs have your thoughts on any of the following:
the aims of an Honours Degree programme; knowledge and understanding;
student skills, abilities and attributes; processes and contexts of
learning; assessment and achievement.
Anything remoteless serious will be discounted for the "as-yet-undisclosed,
but surely must-have" prize that GeoBytes will award to one of the published
responses.
Please e-mail me at [log in to unmask] by April 20th with your pearls
of wisdom.
Donıt hesitate to contact me for more information.
Best wishes,
John
