I am interested in hearing from list members about where I can obtain
information about Government funding strategies/approaches associated with
the provision of support to people with disabilities.
In Queeensland (Australia) funding is provided through approved agencies and
is currently capped at a maximum of 65 hours per person. I am interested to
know:
(1) If there are strategies where funding is provided directly to the person
rather than through a support agency.
(2) Whether similar caps as the one mentioned above apply in other funding
approaches.
(3) Whether the funds provided are tied to a specific individual or whether
they are provided to organisations to distribute as they see fit.
(4) If there are useful references that debate the pros and cons of various
funding strategies.
Thankyou
Peter
