Fourth International Conference on
Strategic Issues in Health Care Management
University of St Andrews: March 30-April 1st 2000

http://www.st-and.ac.uk/~wwwmgt/text/hconf20.htm

======================================
PhD Studentship: Evaluating perioperative care

The Department of Management at the University of St Andrews, in tandem
with colleagues in the Department of Anaesthesia, University of Dundee, has
available a 3-year PhD studentship in the area of Evaluating Perioperative
Care. The project would suit a graduate in the natural or social sciences
with an interest in health care, or a graduate in another discipline with
some experience and knowledge of health services. Aptitude and enthusiasm
will be more important than undergraduate subject area. Training in health
economics and health systems will be provided as part of the studentship.

A maintenance award at the usual Research Council rates will be provided
(currently 6620 pounds pa), University tuition fees will be covered, and
sufficient sums are available for project-related expenses and travel. It
is expected that the studentship would begin as soon as possible.

Applicants should send a current CV and a two-page letter of application
outlining their capabilities and their reasons for pursuing this line of
study to Dr Huw Davies, Reader in Health Care Policy & Management,
Department of Management, University of St Andrews, St Andrews, Fife KY16
9AL (Tel. 01334 462870; email: [log in to unmask], informal enquiries
encouraged). Closing date for applications is March 31st 2000.
