Dear Simon
My observation was simply this. Reading Mels stuff over the years has
convinced me that he knows his stuff on muscle physiology. In a light
hearted way I was trying to lessen the tone of the messages, primarily from
yourself, which appeared to be unecessarily strongly worded. Try and compete
on an intellectual not emotional level. I take it from your comments you
have not yet succeeded in doing the latter; but at least had the good sense
to capitulate the former. To learn you generally need to listen and ask, not
antagonise.
