Apologies for replying to the message this answers. If we choose to belive
that the low incidence of plantar fasciitis in barefoot populations is a
consequence of "ground impact forces being transferred (or shared) to the
yielding musculature of the foot thus sparing the unyielding dense plantar
fascia from the full burden and excessive strain at its attachment", would
this not (theoretically) support foot exercises as a treatment (which I
understand have not been found to be successful).
