I would suggest looking at V. Spinazzola's Tirature 2000 (Fondazione
Mondadori, 2000), which includes short articles covering the Italian novel
'market', from publishers to marketing, and the individual genres, including
'pulp' fiction, such as Harmony, Science Fiction and fumetti. I'm sure
earlier editions of Tirature (from 1991 onwards I think) are also useful,
but I haven't seen them
