SENIOR LECTURER
The Division of Community Paediatrics is a research, teaching and policy
development unit in the field of child health. Its main interests are
related to HIV, malnutrition, injuries, child abuse and child health
services. Opportunities for making important contributions to child health
abound in South Africa's vibrant and exciting transitional health system.
DUTIES: Training of under- and post-graduates, research, policy development
and liaison with health departments and NGOs. The position will suit a
dynamic, energetic and motivated individual who enjoys teaching, child and
community health work and research.
QUALIFICATIONS: (1) A postgraduate paediatric qualification, OR (2) a
Master's degree in Child Health/ Public Health/ Policy and Programme
Development or related field. Experience in child health, community
projects, research and/or programme development is an advantage as is the
ability to manage project/s independently.
SALARY: In accordance to University scales depending on qualifications and
experience.
